Philp Austin

Philp's Biography:

Philip Austin is a 30-year automotive industry veteran and the current Manager of Technical Training for the Aftermarket Mobility Division at Niterra North America. This company represents the NGK & NTK engine management brands. 

Philip’s extensive background covers every corner of the industry. Starting his career as an ASE-certified OE dealership technician, mobile diagnostician and then he advanced through leadership roles ranging from Shop Co-Owner to Technical Content Developer and Technical Product/Sales Development Manager. His expertise is backed by certifications from Cornell University and Northwood University

A dedicated educator that is always learning and willing to provide practical advice and real world solutions. Philip was a selected instructor for AAPEX 2023 and has shared his insights on the Velocity Channel series "Tech Garage," as well as industry podcasts like Wrenchway and Shop Owner Magazine. In 2024, he was honored with an award from MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers during AAPEX Industry Week. Philip currently serves on the MEMA Training Council, where he advocates for diversity and comprehensive training development across the automotive landscape.
